Foothill Christian Preschool
is a delightful facility located on the courtyard grounds at Foothill
Presbyterian Church at 5301 McKee Road , San Jose . This non-profit
preschool is open to all denominations in our community and accepts boys and
girls both full and part-time between the ages of 2.9 and 5 years.
Because of the hard work and dedication of various church members and donations
from local organizations, churches and schools, Foothill Christian Preschool is
an affordable, safe and nurturing environment for our children. This well-equipped facility is
beautiful to the eye with the cozy feel of a backyard for the
children to enjoy. In addition to a well-planned Christian
curriculum,
the school is open from 6:30am to 6:00pm for extended care.
Our goal is to nurture the development of listening, communication, cognitive,
and fine and gross motor skills and have fun doing it. Tuition is
kept below surrounding market rates thanks to the dedication and donations of
loyal supporters.

Philosophy
Foothill Christian Preschool believes in the
development of the whole child: spiritually, physically, emotionally,
socially, and intellectually. We seek to accomplish this through the
use of a loving and stimulating Christian atmosphere in small group
settings. Each child discovers at his/her own rate of development.
The child's needs will be the guide in the process. They are presented
with a variety of age appropriate activities and will make their own
choices.
We believe that all children deserve a safe,
happy, loving Christian environment in which to learn and thrive. In
this belief we offer our respect, protection, attention, and
affirmation.
An important goal of ours is developing a
positive self-image, which is conducive to learning. We emphasize a
view of the child as a unique, worthwhile person in God's eyes, and in
the eyes of others.
It is our belief that children learn through
play and hands-on experiences. Play in a learning situation is aimed
at a specific purpose, such as communication skills, cognitive
development, fine and gross motor development, and listening skills.
We want the children to learn these skills and to have fun doing so!
Foothill Christian Preschool wants to equip
and prayerfully support parents in their endeavor to: "Train up a child
in the way he should go so that when he is old he shall not depart from

Curriculum
As our philosophy states, we believe in
hands-on learning. Meeting or exceeding the state requirements
qualifies all the teachers. We send or provide training for them during
the year. They will plan the curriculum to meet the needs of your
growing and developing child. Lesson plans will be posted for you to
see what is being done in class.
Our Christian based curriculum is a part of the daily routine. We
may have Bible stories at circle time, sing songs, or do art projects
in addition to other theme-related activities. We will present this
information to the children in an age appropriate manner that will be
fun for them.

Tuition Prices
Full-time enrollment
5 days a week - all day $ 170.00
1 full day (times number of days you need) $ 45.00
(There is a 3-day minimal enrollment)
Part-time enrollment
3 hours a day $ 30.00
Hourly rate after 3 hrs $ 10.00
There is a 15% discount on tuition for the sibling of a child attending Foothill Christian Preschool. Please note: this discount only applies to a full-time paying tuition. (There is a 3-day minimal enrollment)
Children of church members will receive a 15% discount on tuition.
Registration Fee -- Non refundable $ 40.00
Second Child $ 30.00
Re-registration $ 20.00
You will need to re-register if you leave the school and then wish to return.
Yearly-Emergency Pack Fee $ 10.00
Tuition must be paid by check or money order. Cash will not be accepted.
There is a $25 fee on all returned checks. After the second returned check, you will be required to pay by money order.
There may be an additional fee for children who are not completely toilet trained. This is to be determined by the director and will not exceed $10.00 a week.
